Technical Features and operational advantages



A series of axial fans constantly directs air into the supporting structure, generating a sufficient amount of pressure to make the light source rise and provide the necessary stability.
It takes approximately 15 seconds to inflate the structure vertically. During the inflation stage the structure swells up vertically and can be made to operate even in narrow spaces.
The structure is anchored to the ground by simple tie rods, allowing the system to operate even with wind gusts of up to 70 km/h.

Advantages: - lightweight, quick extension and immediately operational

Supporting structure: After a series of tests performed on 16 different types of acrylic fabric, a very strong fabric that is resistant to adverse weather conditions was finally selected. Consequently, the structure can be used thousands of times without suffering any variation of its chemical and physical characteristics. The slightly porous material stops humidity from forming condensation on the internal surface.

Advantages: no metal system requiring assembly. Lightweight. Compact overall dimensions

The light source: The EIL® System is normally fitted with light sources consisting of ordinary cylindrical metallic iodides, with a power between 850 or 1,000 W, installed at the top of the supporting structure.

Advantages: - 360° lighting. No need to direct the beam of light

- Power: you can read a business card 50 m from the light source
- No glare. The fabric diffuses the light without the glare of direct light.

Transport: The tower can be easily folded and the entire EIL system, once it is closed up, has an overall dimension of just a few centimetres and a weights just (lighting accessories included).

Advantages: a single, compact object that can easily be transported in any car. The system can be run by a single individual.

EIL® Systems products are available with or without built-in autonomous power generators. EIL® is able to provide light in all emergency situations such as natural calamities or black-outs: civil defence, road accidents, danger warnings, technical illumination, maintenance.

The System is also particularly useful in leisure and recreational activities and advertising

With a generator, the system is completely autonomous and can also be powered from the mains. It is therefore able to satisfy the most diverse requirements.
When there is no autonomous generator, it can be used to temporarily light vast areas of space at fairs, conventions, sports meetings and events requiring rapid dismantling.
Finally, the possibility of placing several lamps parallel to each other means rapidly lighting extremely vast areas without requiring highly specialized personnel. This opens up numerous possibilities for use in the field of industrial maintenance, in any occasion requiring brief operations carried out at night. Furthermore, given its versatility, the system can be applied in various operations and missions in under-equipped territories in the military sector.


Scope of application

The EIL® Systems is suitable for an unlimited number of applications. Here are some examples provided below:.



1 Civil defence

Emergency intervention in the case of landslides, fires, road accidents, road blocks, black-outs in urban areas, train and aeroplane disasters, earthquakes, avalanches, environmental disasters. Rapid lighting when it is necessary to evacuate a population. Lighting for encampments and rescue areas. Monitoring of river banks, canals, buildings, bridges and strategic areas at risk. Rapid illumination of temporary runways for aeroplanes and helicopters. Immediate first aid operations. Searches for missing people. Interventions involving cleaning and restoration when pollutants are spilled on road surfaces.


2 Sports and entertainment

Outdoor parties and events.

Lighting for gardens, campsites, beaches, sports areas, and so forth. Illumination kits for campers and caravans, catering, concerts and trade fairs.

Every tower can be fitted with advertising logos, wording and brand names.

The printed fabric strips are very easy to take on and off.


4 Airports Airport upkeep, illumination of runways and secondary runways.
